Yes or no. Today is a a big day for the Scottish people to decide if they want Scotland to become an independent country or stay in the United Kingdom.
In the 17th century Scotland became part of the United Kingdom. Now, in the 21st century many scots want to leave, thinking they will be better off. the country has two campaigns - the yes campaign and the no campaign. in my opinion i think scotland should stay in the UK because if they did separate many changes will have to be done, like change of the flag , currency and border control. Scottish people who are saying yes say the English are making all the decisions and leaving Scotland out, but the people saying no are saying they will get different laws and will not receive the same treatment that the UK gets.
If Scotland gets independence it says it will still remain in the EU, they will also still be using the british pounds. in my opinion i think if scotland wants independence they should use their own currency if they want to be out of the uk. The united kingdom will have to change its name, scottish MPs would have to leave westminster, british citizens who live in scotland can choose to become a scottish citizen and will be given a new scottish passport or a eu passport. The yes campaign also say they will keep the queen but make their own rules.
I watched the two videos yes and no, the yes video was much more enjoyable to watch as a young person. It had a short story. You see a baby being born into a happy bright scotland while another girl is being in a scotland which is part of the uk and its all grey symbolizing that scotland will be more better if they was independent. it had music to liven it up abit which were bagpipes . When i watched the no video it was very plain it was not enjoyable to watch it more like a serious talk there was no bright colours.
In my opinion i think scotland should stay in the UK because it will cause less fuss and will not change everything but as i say that is my opinion and i'm not scottish.
